What have happened in 2011 ?

Well there’s the recession of course and the EMU crisis, general elections, re-elections and so on. People dying. Some people becoming parents and so on. The Nobel Prize ceremony, the death of Kim Jong Il.

Thomas Transtromer

This year the Nobel Prize in Literature will surprisingly enough go to a Swede; none other than the writer and poet  Thomas Transtromer. At the Nobel Dinner he will be represented by his wife Monica (Bladh) Transtromer. And the Nobel Dinner in Stockholm Sweden is usually not that interesting to watch apart from all the speeches (of course). But the menu is a big secret and the ladies gowns are always somewhat funny to see ; if you like fashion. But this year I believe the show will be stolen by someone that’s not even born yet… the future child of Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, of course. And I’m not sure weither or not Princess Madeleine will attend or not. I suppose it’s possible.

But I believe the Peace Prize Ceremony and Party in Oslo seems much more fun to attend and they even invite famous contemporary singers and artists to the special event. Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, Leyman Gbowee and Tawakool Karman all women have been selected as the Peace Prize winners.

Christmas time

Just 19 days left before Christmas and 25 days left of 2011. Enough said.
